Saturday October 2, 2010

I just spent an incredible day with my mom!  We drove to Cheyenne and Laramie (Wyoming) for some shopping and one on one time.   My mom treated me to an early birthday present.....Lunch at Olive Garden!  :O)

The fall weather was absolutely gorgeous...no wind, the sun was shining and the temps hovered around 78-80 degrees.  PERFECT driving  and shopping weather.

A year ago, we were scrambling to get my mom to the hospital in  Fort Collins, Colorado.  She suffered a stroke.  You would never know it today!   She is doing marvelous!....for this I thank God!

  1. Hi Nadine! I love your room here....like the picures and what you have to say about your life. I live in Washington...so, judging from your photos we have much more trees. Wow 78-80 degrees in the Fall? That has to be unusual. It sounds like summer weather. Here in the Northwest we've had a long drawn out Fall...cooler and cooler days....commonly right now in the upper 50's...some days start out with fog and then sunshine melts that and we have a sunny day.....then a wind and rain storm comes in...we're having one now...the winds didn't happen as they predicted, but it is definitely Fall...and really it started the last part of August. I am about to have a birthday too...its on the 4th...this Thursday, but since it is in the sort of middle of the week, I am waiting for a celebration until Saturday. I am gathering a group of women friends and we're going to meet here in my apartment, then take the ferry to Seattle in the afternoon, meet a couple more women by the Seattle Art Museum and go in together to see the first ever in the United States exhibit of Pablo Picasso's work. It was actually his private collection...and supposedly shows how his work evolved.
When is your birthday? I'm glad to know you and your Mom are healthy and happily together. That's great she recovered totally from her stroke; must be doing a lot right.
